My Story

I’m grateful to have rejoined TriNatural Healthcare as a Licensed Acupuncturist (WA License # AC61411818) after receiving my Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (Portland, OR) in 2021. This four-year graduate degree provided training and clinical experience in acupuncture, herbal therapy, bodywork and additional modalities utilized in East Asian Medicine (cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, food/nutritional therapy etc.). I enjoy supporting patients in their recovery from accident or injury, improving daily function, and am particularly excited about assisting mental-emotional concerns and menstrual health.

Having previously worked at TriNatural Healthcare in an administrative capacity, I was able to see the impact of natural healthcare first hand on peoples’ quality of life. Working within a clinic that supports integrative medical care, respects patients’ resources and values honesty and integrity is very important to me. If a particular modality or treatment approach is not working for you, we eagerly work to find an approach that will meet your health goals, including referring out for other services and working integratively with your care team.

I love living and working in Vancouver and our community. In my spare time I enjoy nature walks, bird watching and cuddling my cats at home with a good book or show.

My Story

I have been a Licensed Acupuncturist since July of 1997. I am a co-owner and founder of TriNatural Healthcare. Originally, I am from Michigan but I have lived in the Portland/Vancouver area since 1991. Prior to being an acupuncturist, I worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in clinical and collegiate settings, an assistant professor teaching wellness and sciences, and as a wellness consultant to municipalities, colleges and businesses. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine (Central Michigan University, 1984), a Master’s of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology (University of Florida, 1987), and a Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, 1997). This particular educational mix and experience makes me uniquely qualified to work successful on injuries and pain .

I am a friendly, fun-loving person. My hobbies include jogging, bird watching, and playing the guitar. I enjoy spending time with my friends and always have a great jokes to share.
